Following FATCA, CRS refers to Common Reporting Standard for the automatic transaction of tax information. It’s aimed to prevent offshore tax evasion and maintaining the integrity of tax systems. CRS comprises of 4 components A2 Stored Procedure, Web-service, Market CTI and CRS GUI.
-A2 Stored Procedure – Stored Procedure to fetch data from A2 database (upstream system).
-Web-service – To write back data to A2, this got through CRS classification.
-Market CTI – Third party vendor tool which helps to identify reportable and non-reportable clients, and if any self-certification required it provides forms and checklist to the client.
